Autism speech therapy, done respectfully.
Specialist, neurodiversity-affirming communication support for autistic children — built around how your child actually communicates, not a checklist of typical milestones.
Communication support, not behaviour correction
Autistic children communicate in a huge range of ways , spoken language, AAC, gesture, sign, echolalia, and more. Our job isn't to make a child communicate like a non autistic child; it's to build reliable, respected ways for them to be understood, and to help the people around them understand and respond well.
That might mean working directly on spoken language, introducing or developing AAC, building social communication and play skills, or supporting a family and school to better understand how a child is already trying to communicate.
Who this is for
- Autistic children, diagnosed or awaiting diagnosis
- Children whose communication doesn't quite fit a standard picture, and parents want expert eyes on it
- Non speaking or minimally speaking autistic children who may benefit from AAC
- Children who use gestalt language (scripting, delayed echolalia) and need support building from it
- Families wanting genuinely affirming therapy, not compliance based approaches
What this can involve

Building connection, play and interaction on your child's terms.
AAC

Gestalt language support
Working with echolalia and scripted language, not against it.
Family & school coaching
Helping the people around your child understand and respond well.
Sensory-aware sessions
A calm, predictable space that respects sensory needs.
Non-speaking support
Specialist work for children who are non-speaking or minimally speaking.
Questions parents ask
Is your approach to autism 'neurodiversity-affirming'? What does that actually mean?+
It means we don't treat autism itself as something to fix. Our goal is to support communication, understanding and connection in ways that respect how your child naturally thinks and engages — including stimming, special interests, and non-speech communication — rather than pushing eye contact or 'typical' behaviour as goals in themselves.
Does my child need a diagnosis before starting therapy with you?+
No. Many families come to us with a query rather than a confirmed diagnosis, and some start therapy while waiting for a formal diagnostic assessment elsewhere. We work with where your child is now.
Will therapy make my child talk if they're not speaking yet?+
We can't promise spoken language, and we're honest about that. What we can do is build functional communication — through speech, AAC, or both — so your child has a reliable way to be understood, which is the more important goal.
Do you support gestalt language processors ('echolalia')?+
Yes. Many autistic children learn language in gestalts (chunks or scripts) rather than word-by-word. We're trained in gestalt language processing and treat echolalia as meaningful communication to build from, not something to eliminate.
